N400 - Baltimore, MD
Hello everyone,

After a long journey in the naturalization process, I have my oath ceremony scheduled for this Saturday morning. Compared to the process of getting the green card, the N400 was incredibly quick. Here is my timeline:

Application Submitted: 02/23/2024
Biometric Reuse: 02/23/2024
Interview Scheduled: 03/17/2024
Interview day: 04/16/2024
The interview was very straightforward. I had to wait a little bit to be called, but overall I was on the USCIS grounds for about 1 hour. They started with the civics questions:
1) Name one American Indian tribe in the United States.
2) How many justices are on the Supreme Court?
3) Name one of the two longest rivers in the United States.
4) When was the Constitution written?
5) What is the capital of the United States?
6) We elect a President for how many years?

After that, they moved to the reading (In what month do we vote for President?) and written portion (We vote for President in November). I was asked to confirm some information from my application (name, address, name of the husband, date of the wedding...), and they asked some of the moral character questions. She told me I was approved and offered me to take the oath ceremony the same day at 2 pm or on Saturday. A day after the interview, my status was updated:

Oath Ceremony Scheduled: 04/17/2024
Oath Ceremony Day: 04/20/2024

Thank you all for your testimonies. You all really helped me stay positive during this long waiting process.
