I just graduated with a master's degree in music in the states. I am currently working at a music school/ music center (more like an after school program) as a part-time piano teacher. I've been told that it's difficult to approve for H1-B because music teachers are not required to have a master's degree to teach there. However, I also have music friends who got approved for the H1-B this year.
Am I eligible for applying for H-1B status? What kind of evident do I need to show in order to get approved? Any thought would be appreciated. Thank you. |

As long as the job requires a minimum qualification of a Bachelors degree and there is a shortage of such professionals, H1b can be sponsored by the employer.
