Atlas International Travel Insurance Review

Atlas International travel insurance is a highly popular international travel medical insurance plan for U.S. citizens as well as non-U.S. citizens who are traveling outside their home country and traveling outside the U.S. The travel can be for any reason, such as vacation, business, work, education, missionary work, or any other reason.

Various policy maximums ranging from $50,000 to $2,000,000 are available, as well as various deductible choices ranging from $0 to $5,000. After you pay the deductible, the insurance company pays 100% up to the chosen policy maximum for eligible medical expenses.

Atlas International insurance is underwritten by Lloyds, which is rated A “Excellent” by A.M. Best and is the largest and oldest insurance marketplace in the world, with more than 300 years of solid history.

Atlas International Travel Insurance Benefits

The Atlas International travel insurance plan is designed to generally cover any injuries, accidents, or sicknesses that occur after the effective date of the policy. Atlas International insurance will cover medically necessary outpatient as well as inpatient treatment such as doctor visits, prescription drugs, urgent care visits, emergency room visits, labs, X-rays, CT scans, MRIs, surgery, and hospitalization (including hospital room, board, and ICU charges).

Apart from providing excellent medical coverage, Atlas International insurance has many travel-related benefits such as emergency medical evacuation, repatriation of remains, loss of checked luggage, trip interruption, return of minor children, and emergency reunion benefits.

Compliant Travel Insurance for Schengen Visa and Other Countries

Atlas International insurance meets the requirements of Schengen visa travel insurance for those visiting Europe. Immediately after the purchase, you will get an email confirmation with a link to the visa letter (also called confirmation of coverage letter) that you can present to the Schengen country embassy or consulate when applying for a Schengen visa.

If you are visiting Thailand, their government requires at least $100,000 travel medical coverage, and they require the insurance company to complete a special waiver form with specific language. Once you purchase Atlas International insurance from Insubuy, they can get the waiver form completed for you to submit to the Thai government.

There are many other countries around the world that require proof of travel medical insurance, and you can purchase Atlas International insurance to satisfy the requirements of most of them.

Atlas International Travel Insurance Features

Atlas International travel insurance can be purchased for a duration of between 5 days and 12 months. However, if you are a non-U.S. resident traveling to a non-U.S. country, you can purchase it for up to 1 year and renew it for a total of 3 years.

You are able to extend Atlas International insurance for a minimum of 1 day or a longer duration that you desire. When you extend it, all the terms and conditions remain the same.
