Adjustment of Status - I-485

Hi, I have scanned through the pages but haven't been able to find someone in my boat. I came to US in 2014 on a student visa and filed for asylum a few months afterwards as the school program didn't work out and I could not go back home due to security concerns. I, however, got married last year to someone who I was dating for 1.5 years and after filing i-485/130 concurrently withdrew my asylum application on my attorney's advice. Moving forward before my visa interview date came up I got mail citing that I have been placed into removal proceedings based on having no legal status in the country. My court date is now set for November and I also just last week got a notification citing that my Interview date is next month.
My understanding is that I can not be granted AOS by IO as I am in removal proceedings and the DHS attorneys are unwilling to close my case. My marriage, however, is 100% legitimate and we have all the proof one may need. Any advice for someone in my condition would be really appreciated!
