Experience Traveling With Advance Parole
I see a lot of questions in this thread about traveling with advance parole. I got my AP/EAD back in late May, since then I have used it twice. I am a Canadian, married to a US citizen, I was here on a work visa (TN Visa for 4 years, J-1 visa before that), got married at city hall back in early February, PD Feb 8th.

I used it to go to the Dominican Republic with a friend for 5 days in June, and I just got back from a 17 day trip to Europe a couple days ago where I used it to enter. Both times I was entering through JFK airport, I live in NYC. The experience for both times were the same. Once you reach the customs officer, you show them your passport and AP card, they will then get someone to come and escort you to that room where they do secondary inspection. I only waited about 10 mins each time, however both times the airport was not that busy. They didn't really ask me anything besides where i was coming from, am I married, how long was I away, what do I do..standard questions they normally ask you when entering a country. Then then stamped my passport with a special "Parole" stamp...this is isnt the regular entry stamp you get when normally entering the US, you wont get one of those. Then I was sent on my way. My experience was positive, haven't really heard of anyone having a negative experience traveling on advance prole. besides maybe having to wait a long time to get through.

All I needed was the AP/EAD card and my passport, I wasnt asked for any other supporting documents. Just make sure your card says "Serves as i-512 Advance parole" on the bottom of it.

Hope this helps for anyone who is nervous about traveling on it.
