I-864 for I-485
Hello everyone,

I've been a silent reader and getting ready to submit paperwork to petition for my husband. I have a few questions and hoping someone could answer them based on their experiences.

I am USC by birth (filing from Los Angeles), Asian descent, my husband is Mexican and I'm 10 years older than he is. I'm curious to know if our difference in race and somewhat large disparity of age will cause major red flags. We've been together for a year before we got married. We have a joint checking/savings account (1 month as we just opened it last month- we married in October), joint auto insurance, joint auto title and car registration, I am listed on his dental and vision insurance through his work, joint AAA Membership (I'm main cardholder, he is an add-on), joint Costco membership, I also changed my last name to his. Other evidences I will provide are wedding photos, miscellaneous photos, and copies of plane/train tickets for vacation we took back in September to Boston for my friend's wedding. We will be moving to live in my father's residence next month, and when we do, I plan to change the utility bills to our names since we won't have a lease agreement.

Another question I have is about the current annual income for I-864 and I've read conflicting answers on what the total number should be. On the instructions, it says "you may include evidence supporting your claim about YOUR EXPECTED INCOME FOR THE CURRENT YEAR..." so my interpretation is that they are asking for the amount I expect to make at the end of 2017. I've read in other forums/website that this is true, but also read in other forums that this is not correct, and I'm to use the amount I'm making right now at this very moment and multiply that by 12,24, or 52. My income fluctuates throughout the year because of job change, and 3 part time jobs I currently hold because I also attend college and need a flexible schedule. However, I make over 125% of the poverty level for 2017, 2016, and 2015. If someone who is in my position can shed some light on this, it would be very helpful!
