More than 120 days after interview
Hello,

I had my interview at the Chicago field office on July 16th, 2018. The officer asked some questions about how we met, about our wedding, Information on my application and so on. She said there was a problem with my medical exam that needs to get approved by the supervisor. I brought in a new exam since the other one was expiring - she said the last one had the same issue and the National benefit center approved it. She didn’t really say how the interview went. She gave us a paper saying the case must be reviewed and that we can follow up in 120 days if a decision hasn’t been made.

The decision hasn’t been made and I tried to make an info pass appointment however there aren’t any available in the Chicago office. (I tried over the last couple weeks even at midnight). I did a service request online for both the I-485 and I-130 that my husband filed for me. We are to expect a response by December 11th. This whole situation is making me nervous, so I called uscis and spoke to an actual officer. He told me that the processing times in the Chicago office are up to 35 months and my case is not outside of normal processing times. Then the call conveniently dropped. My husband and I have been married for over 2 years now (anniversary was on the 12th of November). I am at a loss of what to do now. This is a very stressful experience - I almost lost my job waiting for an EAD (had to get it expedited through the Senator) and now this just keeps going. (I am adjusting status from DACA.) I am not sure why this is taking so long- I do not have a criminal record or any other issues like this. My husband and I know each other for a long time - we have a condo together with both our names on the deed which was shown to the officer.

Any input or advice will be appreciated. We do not currently have a lawyer.
