Need clarification on EAD notification
This morning I received and email that the EAD is being produced but the i131 status still shows case received 3/8/19. Will we mostly likely only get the EAD soon and no AP?
Anyone with similar experience?

Receipt from USCIS
Hi All,

Our lawyer said she is almost done preparing my husband's AOS application. We are planning to have everything sent to USCIS before the end of the month, Approximately how long does it take for USCIS to send us something in the mail telling us they've received our AOS package?

Thanks!

Invite family
Good morning beautiful people. Please my wife, a USC wants to invite my mom for their family's annual Christmas fun marathon; we just filed for GC around February, 2019 even though I have not gotten any further update after Fprint. Question: is it safe for me to allow that, as the "Family" page requires to know the applicant's immediate relation's status here?

I appreciate your assistance in advance.

Thank you.

Interview Timeline/Experience
Hello All,

I've been a silent reader since last year, while preparing my documents for adjustment of status based on marriage to a US Citizen (husband). Our center was National Benefits Center. Prepared ourselves, no lawyer.

My husband and I submitted our paperwork in March of 2019. Here are our details!

PD: 3/11/2019.
Bio-metrics Notice received: 3/15/2019
Bio-metrics: April 01, 2019.
Courtesy Letter regarding updated medical exam needed: June 11, 2019. (More about this below)
Interview Notice: June 27, 2019
EAD Approval: August 3rd, 2019.
Interview Date: August 5th, 9:40am at USCIS Center in Detroit, MI
I-485 Approval: Same day (August 5th).

We are so thankful for a relatively quick and smooth journey through this whole process. God has shown His Hand throughout this process and we are so thankful and grateful to Him.

Along with our application, we sent photos, about 10 letters from friends and family, letter from our landlord verifying that we lived together (because the lease is in his name and we didn't want to renew and get locked into another year), joint insurance information (auto, rental and life), joint tax returns, screenshots of text messages from various times between my husband and I, employment letter, pay stubs, etc.

The original plan was too submit this all in 2018, around August but a death in the family sucked up the money we were saving for immigration fees. So we had completed our medical paperwork in July 2018. With the delay, we submitted that one when we submitted it later in 2019. We were not aware of the change in November of that year that said it had to be done within 60 days of submission. I actually found out about that change from reading it on this forum early June. I immediately researched and called the doctor that I used last year and he was able to fit me in that day. Since my shots etc were still under a year, he just checked me out physically and dated my paperwork for June 2019 (which was a huge blessing). I took thee chance and sent it to USCIS. I photocopied the Receipt paper for my I-485, wrote a letter explaining why I was sending it and crossed my fingers! I know it's not advised to do so but I figured it wouldn't hurt!

I then got the courtesy letter about a week later. I wasn't sure if this letter was in response to the first medical paperwork I sent or the last. So, I called and spoke to a Tier 1 officer (very nice) and she confirmed that the same day that letter was sent out (June 11) they logged in my new medical, so I didn't have to get another! PRAISE GOD!! :) I'm not saying this to advise anyone of this, just sharing my experience.

Now, Interview Day.

We got there at 9 and tried to check in. We were told to come back to the check-in desk at 9:20 (seems like we can't check in more than 20 mins at this office). After checking in, we were told to sit in a specific area and wait for our name to be called. We got called back at about 9:50. Our officer was super amazing. He joked with us, smiled and it was like we were having a conversation. We did photo, prints, oaths and got started. He asked all the 'yes' and 'no' questions and verified other information.

Questions asked; each others birthday, full names, where we were from, phone numbers, parent's birth dates. Asked us when, how and where we met. When, where and how he proposed. When, where we were married, who was there. He asked about our first date- the actual date and what we did on it. We couldn't remember the date or the movie watched and we were honest about that! It was very chill.

He took from us joint financial information, joint utilities. Looked at original birth certificates, marriage certificates and divorce decrees for my husband. I had a huge binder of stuff and that's all he asked to see. He did look at my job offer letter and made note of the institution and location.

He said that was all he needed, he felt he had enough and that we would know in 2-3 weeks.
I was bummed to hear that but we got approved the same day!!!

Praise God!

I'll answer any questions if you have any!
Good luck everyone.

Interview Questions
Hi everyone! I have an interview coming hopefully soon (still waiting for the interview letter to come).
My question is, what are the typical questions do they ask?
Do they ask questions about specific things such as how many door knobs you have at home? Or do they also ask anything sexual such as what sexual style do you and your spouse usually do?
Or are they more into hard copy evidences nowadays? Pls post your experiences here.

Thank you.
