Stoke interview canceled
Hi,I was supposed to go for a stoke interview today but my husband received a call from our local USCIS office saying it was a scheduled conflict and said to not come today and wait for a letter explaining why and what the next action is.
Do anyone know what might be the case or have anyone experienced this? Please I’m so anxious cause we didn’t go and I don’t know if it’s a good sign or not

Letter to come in for a appointment
Hi everyone.
I had my interview for form I485 marriage based like a month and a half ago.Case online was still saying under review.Today I got a letter with a appointment at the USCIS Baltimore office. Reason for the letter: I485 Aplication for Adjustment of Status. The appointment is only for me. They didn't ask for my wife (the US citizen) to come so it doesn't like a second interview. Does anyone know what this could be?

waiting game
Any Philadelphia filers? I had my interview on May 14 2019 and we still haven’t heard anything yet. Interview went well so I don’t understand why it’s taking so long. Also my status didn’t change. It still says interview scheduled. Is that normal? Thank you all for sharing your experiences!

Request for evidence from USCIS
Hello good people, I need your help. I filed a marriage petition for my spouse and stepchild. My spouse took my last name and we wrote it on the I-485 form, I also wrote my last name for my stepchild on her form I-485 so we could all have the same last name. I recently received a RFE letter to provide a legal proof that my stepchild can take my last name. Unfortunately I have no such document and I am confused on how to reply USCIS. I am planning to adopt my stepchild in the near future and it’s a long process. Your comments will be greatly appreciated.

New Card Is Being Produced
Hello Everyone,

I wanted to share an update to our case previously posted on this very helpful site.

My husband and I applied to adjust his status in February 2019, after only being married for just a few short months.

PD end of February 2019. Biometrics was completed in March, and notice our interview was ready to be scheduled in April. We were notified the interview was scheduled for the end of June and nervously waited and waited and waited for the day to come.

Yesterday we were interviewed in the Boston office and it was an exceptional experience for us.

We arrived in business formal attire and a half an hour earlier than our appointment and patiently waited. We were called in 5 minutes after our scheduled appt.

We were separated for the interview. He interviewed me first (USC) for about 45 minutes. This included 10 minutes of paperwork questions and confirmation and then a plethora of questions that were not scripted but were relevant details to the answers I gave. He focused primarily on our relationship timeline as well as small details about our living arrangements, our schedules, our arguments, and if we have made any future plans together such as upcoming celebrations and or vacations. The interviewer was kind, courteous and thorough. When my husband came in for the interview I was allowed to stay in the room and his interviewing technique changed from the conversation style we had to a more interview/interrogation type. I appreciate his patience and willingness to restate questions in more simplistic ways or my husband as well as his honesty. He was a bit taken back by how quickly our application was processed (5 months to the date) and questioned our lack of an abundance of evidence. We were honest that though we were grateful to have an interview so quickly we were hoping to have received his working papers during the process allowing him to get a drivers license, health insurance, and other documents that would further prove and strengthen our financial ties to one another. He understood and clarified that so many people are misled by that. All and all his final question was about my husband's plans for the future and he provided his answer as well as his aspiration to become a US Citizen. The interviewer seemed pleased and told us about what a conditional green card is and that we should expect him to receive his in the mail in 15 days, as he recommended our I-485 application be approved.

As of 8:00 am this morning his card is being produced.

All and all, stick to your gut. I am relieved that we could walk into that building without feeling nervous or unprepared. We read through forms and noted any questions that we wanted to further explain. We sifted through all of our photos and talked, laughed, and even cried about those amazing memories. It was nerve-wracking leading up to interview and prioritizing going over hundreds of documents.

My only advice: the questions that were asked were all about every day things that anyone sharing life together would just know. As you prepare for your interview start communicating about your everyday relationship. Does someone pay for meals more often than the other? Who does the grocery shopping? What roles does each of you play? Are there any arguments, what about? What are your routines? What have you sacrificed for each other etc? I found that simply taking the time to focus and address our marriage with each other we were able to get onto the same page about everything. It was difficult at the time but I am glad we did because had we not, I would have never been able to answer with certainty I do 100% of the laundry and he does 100% of the dishes.

Best of luck to everyone who like myself logged into the ccount online every day multiple times a day waiting and waiting and waiting for any action to take place.

Should you need any help or assistance please leave a comment on the thread and I will share whatever information I can.

I am so Happy
Finally My journey comes to an end, Miami PD was may 2017 and i was married may 2nd 2017. I receive 2 EAD, and I had my interview this past monday June 24 2019 and yes I had my lawyer with me, So i waited for over 2 years to receive the interview.. The interview went so well, The officer was a woman, so nice... I made her laughed so much and she enjoyed my company and said i made her day, At this point I know I was in the right direction. The wait is long for sure but it was worth it because the officer said I reached the 2 years marked. So most likely I will get the 10 years greencard, at the end of the interview, officer said to wait for 30days for an answer, i was not approved on the spot and exactly the next day which was yesterday, my status changed to " New Card Is Being Produced
On June 25, 2019, we ordered your new card for Receipt Number MSC YYYY XX. "
Now I just get to wait for it... Thanks for the help on here.. I hope y'all get your greencard too
