The interview was straight forward, the first thing the officer asked was our proofs. We had a lof of those and about 50 pictures. We have been married for more than 2 years. She asked about our birthdays, address and how we met. She went over the yes or no questions and rectify the question about overstaying.
We didnt get the EAD until 06/08/2019 ( 3 days before the interview)

Phoenix case interview scheduled in Tucson
Hello

First of all this is the most helpful site I’ve found regarding immigration process, everyone who shares their scenarios are so helpful.

NBC Marriage based 485
PD 12/14/2018
BIOMETRICS NOTICE 12/21/2018
BIOMETRICS APPOINTMENT 01/10/2019
“CASE IS READY TO BE SCHEDULED FOR AN INTERVIEW” 05/22/2019
“INTERVIEW WAS SCHEDULED” 06/05/2019
RECEIVED THE NOTICE FOR INTERVIEW 06/10/2019
INTERVIEW DATE 07/15/2019

I have not received EAD or Advance Parole and our interview was scheduled in Tucson but we live in Phoenix (we didn’t move), Does anyone know why it would be scheduled out of town? We don’t mind the drive but I want to know if we should prepare for something out of the ordinary?

Thanks

Hey guys, I am going to share with you my experience.

Marriage based
PD 03/26/2019
EAD - never got it
biometrics 04/29/2019
interview i485 06/11/2019

the interview was really good, the officer made a few questions to my wife such as: her name, date of birth, city she was born. Then, he asked me the same things.

Further, he started asking questions how we met each other and as soon we started explained we showed him pictures of 2015, 2016 and 2017.

I had a J1 visa (student) in the past and he just wanted to be sure i completed 2 years outside of the united states as it requires.

it took more or less 20 minutes, by the end he said i was approved and that i should expect by the end of the day to see on USCIS website that my case was approved.

Thank you.

Approved Today! Filing from Queens, NY
First of all thank you to everyone here in the forum. I have learned a lot from here and saved a lot of money cuz i dont have to hire a lawyer.
I have my interview today at federal plaza scheduled at 8:15 AM. We got there at 7:40. waited in the room until the officer called our names.
We got in to the interview room around 8:35AM.
The IO was very nice. he was very welcoming and made us feel very comfortable. He imtroduced his name and swore us in. He introduced his name again (i think he forgot that he already did earlier). He asked for our IDs. i gave my passport, my husband’s passport and drivers license. He said “im seeing a lot of california documents around here, can anyone explain why?” my husband didnt change his DL to New York DL cuz its easier to renew his cars lease if he retain his license in california. (My husband moved to new york cuz of work. we will be here for three years. We are both from California) All of our other accounts and proofs are addressed in New York Though. He took our pictures and my fingerprint. he asked for some joint documents. I gave our apartment lease, joint credit cards, gym membership. and then he started asking, “So whos the best to tell me how you guys met.” my husband started talking and its actually more of like a conversation type of thing. He asked me if my parents knew about my marriage. He asked my husband if he met my family, he answered through videocalls only cuz theyre in the philippines.
He asked me what does our gym look like. does it have any pool?we were jokingly said “We wish” and laughed. It was smooth and going all good. We went through the yes and no question. let me sign the paper confirming everything was true. He asked us if we have any questions. we said no. He said “Ok, i will make a decision for your case today, if i need more proofs ull be receiving a letter within 30 days, but the whole decision time can last 120 days. But i promise i will be making a decision on your case today.” and thats it
i was like, “i still have a lot of proofs to show. i have here our pictures, affidavit from friends, etc”
he said “ no youre fine”
we said thank you and shook hands. We got out of the room 8:56am. it was a quick interview. 9:30 i received a message that my case is updated. Checked online, new card is being produced.

i guess it really helps to put a lot of evidence the moment you send your application. Thats what we did. and i even saw it in the folder he is holding.
So relax and take note that theyre not there to crucify you, theyre there to help you complete your forms and proofs. Also dress properly. It always helps to dress that shows you respect them and the process. Always show courtesy and shake the hand of the IO after the interview.

Thank you guys so much!

3 weeks after Interview no decision
I was interviewed at the Queens office-Federal plaza on May21 and still have not receive a decision or a change of status. My interview went well. The IO told me to expect a decision in a week in the mail and it has now been 3 weeks and nothing. I am literally losing sleep over this. My husband and I are so worried. USCIS is just a POS to keep us waiting and losing sleep. I called USCIS yesterday wasn’t at all helpful. My status is still saying “interview schedule”.

Is anyone still waiting from the Queens office after interview?
Is it normal that up to now my status has not change. Still saying interview schedule

I’m so worried. Maybe they will call us for another interview.
