Adjustment of Status - I-485

Hello everyone, I am married to a USC
My timeline so far is;
Documents sent: 08/28/2018
Priority Date: 08/30/2018
Receipts Received: 09/14/2018
Biometrics Notice: 09/20/2018

I got an update from USCIS requesting for initial evidence on my I-485 on 20th of September. Please has anyone here had this experience? If so what kind of evidence did the request for because I used a lawyer who was quite thorough in my opinion while preparing our application. Thank you

Please help me understand something, today the status for my i765 changed from document recieved to a document was mailed. What does that mean? What can they possibly mail to me before the status updates to approved/rejected. I am nervous.

I have been on "as of June 14th we are ready to schedule your interview" and have not received anything yet. Any MD filers on here that can share their experience?

I got a mail from USCIS National Benefits Center from Lee's Summit MO last week. Was hoping for an interview notice but it was a receipt for my EAD renewal.

On my USPS tracker, I see another mail coming from USCIS today. It's from the same address. The difference between these are that today's says department of homeland security on the address line as well as have the Department of Homeland Security logo with the worlds "US Citizenship and Immigration Services" next to it. Could it be?

I went home for lunch last time and nothing came so I will just wait in agony at work but if anyone has experience this could be the letter, please let me know.

I really don't know what to do and could use any advice. Here is a short timeline:
March 2017 - got married while in the US.
May 2017 - applied for everything, BUT I left the country before receiving the travel document.
August 2017 - Came back to the US to have the biometrics appointment on a B1 visa. Hired lawyers, who said my application will be rejected because I left the country so I should file another one.
Feb 2018 - Filed another application through lawyers (i485, i131, i765), and cancelled the old ones (all except the i130).
March 2018 - Had another biometrics appointment.
August 2018 - Filled service request to USCIS for the i765 and i131.
September 2018 - Filed another service request.

My lawyers say that there is nothing that I can do but keep sending service requests, that the USCIS doesn't have to respond to in any way. They say that my case is abnormal as it's way past the due date, but they have no other insight. What worries me a lot is that even before cancelling the old application, there was a period of 7+ months when I didn't receive the EAD. Now it has been 7+ months again. I have work secured here, but the lawyers say I can't work legally in the US in any way. Is there ANYTHING that I can do or ANY way that I can work here without it damaging my chances?

and how long does it take to be scheduled ? I have been waiting for 9 months after my initial interview in december 2016.

This is my experuence.
Interview date :9/11/18
The offcier asked us simple questions, everything was going smooth untill she asked us why did we file 2016 taxes seperate.. we said we did not know we have to do them as joint (married).. After a few minutes she say, ok, I am not going to approve or denie you at this moment. I need to see you did an amendment tax of 2016.
Same day I did the amendment tax for 2016.
Today I got a letter saying they need
taxes 2017 and 16,
anlso bank account statements for the last 6 months.
My husband and I do not have joint accounts
