New York 485 Filer April 2017
Hi All,

My cas has a PD of Aril 27th, 2017. It has been 90 days now, and I still have not received a biometrics app. letter. At the 75th day we put in an SR and this was completed July 15th. I did not receive that reply either, so I called today to ask for the content of the reply, and I was told that no app. was scheduled and that sometimes biometrics aren't needed.

My last visa was renewed in October 2016, and I travel abroad in February, so they have fairly recent fingerprints of me, if they are allowed to use those.

Does anyone have experience with this that no biometrics were needed to get EAD approved?

If that is the case, then maybe my case is right ons schedule and I can expect my EAD soon!

Thanks everyone!

Atlanta Interview Experience
My PD is December 5th 2016
Moved from Memphis TN Field Office to Atlanta GA

Interview was scheduled for 1:30pm

We got checking in downstairs then checked in upstairs by 1:41

In about 10 mins our number showed up on the screen and we were called in by a female officer.

We walked in the office together and were sworn in by being told to put up our right hands and tell the truth. We sat down and she started by confirming our information. She started with the I130 for my husband and confirmed his information and signature.

She then went on to ask us alot of questions from this questionnaire paper she had.
The questions were:
How did we meet in detail?
When did we start dating?
How did he propose?
Where did he buy the ring?
What was his mothers name and what was my mothers name?
How much siblings he had and their names and how much I had and their names?
Did we have a honeymoon and were?
Where did we get married, Church or Court house?

After those questions she confirmed the information on the I485 and then asked all the Yes/No questions.

She asked if I had any joint documentations I wanted to add but didn't ask for anything specific.

The interview lasted for about an hour or a little more. We got out at 3:11. She made us sign a paper explaining about the conditions and then handed us a paper that our case will be reviewed.

Kind of a bummer because we wanted to hear it was approved but a huge sign of relief because we are happy this part is over for all we know. Just wanting to get an update and hopefully an approval. I have no need to travel or anything right now so Im okay.

Good luck to everyone and I hope this information helped.

Concurrent filing from E3 to GC
Hello everyone!

I have been reading everyone's experience and has helped me in my process a bit so thought of putting out my experience here so if someone in my position can have hope!

I have been living in US since 3 and half years now on E3 visa (Special category for Australian citizens, I am Indian born). we got married in November 2016 and applied in Feb 2017

USCIS Received: Feb 24 2017 Chicago
Priority Date: Feb 24 2017

USCIS sent notice of receipt but messed up so they sent another one after 3 week. I got total 3 notices but for EAD was missing and when I called USCIS i came to know that local post office didn't deliver for some reason. Went to Local post office and met manager and got it resolved. USCIS sent another one and this time I got the receipt for EAD.

Biometric Appointment: June 6 2017

EAD Approval Letter: May 27 2017

No movement after that for almost 45 days so called again to USCIS and the guy said it take 60 days for EAD so wait and call again after July 26th 2017. Within couple of days the status changed to EAD card in process

EAD card received: July 24th 2017

Still waiting for the interview date. I changed my address just before EAD card was produced so I had to request change of address and USCIS sent confirmation notices.

Hope everyone who is waiting get's their process run faster. Just believe and have faith and you will get it soon.

Thanks!

Congress man help
Hi guys.

First of all, is our time table so far:
Jan 6th - Married.
Jan 31 - Lawyer drops paperwork at NYC office
Mar 16 - Case Is Ready To Be Scheduled For An Interview
May 4 - EAD and AP Card mailed.

No change since, and I guess everything is normal and we just need to wait to our turn.

My question is regarding a congress man help. I read here a lot about people who involved their locale congressman, who send/talked whatever something to USCIS and it might helped them make their process go faster.

Is it a thing? Can it actually help? Does it worth it?
In case we do have the connections to our local congress man - what exactly are we looking to ask him to do for us?

Will appreciate any lead!
Thanks.

I-485 / I-130 / I-765 still pending
Hello to everyone!
I've been reading this forum for quite a while now.
And I wanted to share my situation.
Arrived here in US last Dec 21, 2016 as B1/B2 visa
Came for Christmas holidays
Planning to leave by Jan 2, 2017 but my boyfriend proposed and he asked me to stay a bit longer this time.
I flew a couple of times to see him last year (2016). Know the guy for almost 11yrs.
Married last March 03, 2017
Filed I-485, I-765, I-130 last April 24 to Chicago Lockbox
They rcvd it on April 26 2017
I rcvd receipt notice 797c notice on May 2 (MSCxxxxxxxxx)
But up until now (almost 3 months now) no news about my Biometrics.
Called and raised SR last July 12 and 18th but no news till now.
I wanna help my husband with bills.
Currently, am just volunteering in a non profit org here in Cleveland.
The USCIS agent told me that my papers are still in Benefit Center in Vermont.
It's taking too long... wait is frustrating. 90days for Biometric schedule???

Please guys, need your advice and opinion.
Thank you
