Traveled on AP in September
Hello everyone,

I am on EB2 row employment based GS. Passed my interview on Aug 23 and hit retrogression.

Decided to travel with my AP to Ukraine for 27 days (has not been there for 9years). My combo card never arrived, so I just traveled with my regular AP paper form.

Everything went well. I landed in Washington-Dulles, told passport control that I have AP. They gave me an orange slip and sent me to a separate room where I waited 15-20min for my turn (there were other people). The passport control officer checked my passport and the case in the database, put a stamp in the passport and let me proceed to my gate for domestic flight.

I worried about this experience too but everything went well. The officer was business but very courteous and said that I can travel more if needed with AP.

Please advice me from experience has any ever had issues returning back to the US on AP after overstaying his or her B1B2 visa? thanks.

Traveling with AP
My fiance finally got his AP approved due to a family member being sick. He is currently under TPS for El Salvador. I've read somewhere that sometimes they try to take a copy of the AP at check-in points but they always make you a copy. What does he need to make sure he takes with him when leaving the US and have with him at all times? What forms of ID? They are required to make photo copies of the AP document if they take it and hand him it back, correct? Anything thing he should be aware of, etc? How does the check out/check in process go from points of entry out and in of the US? He's very nervous in going and I am nervous for him.

Travelling with EAD/AP
Please, anyone with a case similar to mine or who have had better experience travelling with an AP should respond to my post.

I applied for AOS in 2016 but waited till Nov 2017 before I got denial letter because there was an error on my form which they claimed I provided the USCIS with misleading information and also they found out my wife did not added my name on her lease which was also been paid through section 8.

I decided to submit a new well filed application Mar 7, 18 through an attorney, interview went well but was not approved on the spot. In less than 40 days, a new I765 & I131 was approved (EAD/AP). I have plans of travelling out of the U.S for 10 days by Dec. Will there be a problem for me upon re-entry to the U.S? Maybe because of the first application that was denied.

All experiences are welcome please.... Thanks!

USCIS home visit Los Angeles
married my wife at a time when we did not know she was with child. She will later tell me that she had had sex with my friend while I was out of the country. At the time, we were not in a full relationship. She got seeded a month before our engagement and only found out weeks after the wedding. She kept it away from me until after she’d filed for me. She was planning on aborting so I won’t find out but I eventually did. There’s proof of her visit to the Doctor that revealed she was pregnant and her visit to a clinic to seek abortion advice. I was shocked and only then did i understand why my friend who had a fling with her did not attend the wedding.
The baby was born before the interview and I decided not to mention it. We decided that we will move in together, so the child can be with both parents until his father moves out of state along with the child- something which was supposed to happen next week as he found a job in another state. He has his own room and there’s no connection between him and my wife. He brings his own ladies to the house. USCIS visited us a few days ago and saw the baby. Couldn’t tell them the whole story but admitted that the child was not mine. I’m just so confused. Help

hi all,

my wife and i married civilly April 15, USCIS confirmed reciept of documents may 10. she has been in and out of the US for 4.5 years on a H1B visa, never overstayed or did something against the visa. we are working with an immigration lawyer to make sure everything is perfect.

we have our religious wedding October 6, leaving for the honeymoon October 8th. everything is booked, paid for, etc and we are gone for 3 weeks around the world. its a once in a lifetime opportunity and we have been looking forward to it more than the wedding.

We leave in 17 days, documents are still pending and its now been 4.5 months. We leave right at the 5 month mark.

We applied last week for emergency travel but were denied as the honeymoon doesnt count as an emergency. We just reached out to a local congresswoman who said she can try and help earlier this week.

does anyone have any advice on anything else we can do? the stress of this before the wedding is killing us.

Want to apply for AP for my wedding
Hi everyone.

My fiancee and I are getting married this October 26, 2018 in California and we will apply for Adjustment of Status as soon as we get married. We are booking our arrangement for our wedding in the Philippines which will happen on May 12, 2019. I hope we can get our AP, weeks before May 12, 2019 if we will apply at the end of October 2017. I’m super nervous about the AP because there are expensive downpayment that we can no longer refund if we won’t be able to come in May 2019.

Also, how long does it usually take to get the AP approved nowadays? Can I ask the USCIS to expedite my AP application for wedding purpose? Appreciate your answers everyone.

Best,

Andrea
