Adjustment of Status - I-485

Hi Friends,

This is a follow up questions regarding my birth certificate not having my name. I have gotten an RFIE for USCIS asking for a birth certificate with my name.

Has anyone submitted a Non-availability of birth certificate from India (which USCIS is asking) and gotten approval ?

I appreciate you guy's response and suggestions.

April 2016 married to a green card older,after 6 mouth approval letter.i wait for a priority date ,june 2018 i filed form I 485,October 2018 interview scheduled for November,December letter for second interview,January we did the second interview.After many calls and request ,they told me my case is out of processing time and they give 90 days.90 days already pass,no letter nothing from them.thank you

Rejected on May 8th

Reason: Based on the information provided, a visa is not immediately available for your priority date.

In the March+April priority date published by the State listed Date Jan 2019. But my Priority Date Nov 2018.

Any one has any idea? Or has any past experience?

Still curious if I did the right thing by filling out that I worked without Authorization ?
Any help please?

December 3, 2019 case was updated to show finger print was taken

***165 days since last status change

October 30, 2019 mailed application

***197 days since last status change

I have a lawyer who filed for my Marriage based GC application. Does the lawyer get the RFIE letter or me?

Hi guys.
Those who have changed their addresses while process was pending.
Did you receive also regular mail confirmation or was it all just online? 3 out of 4 cases were successfully changed but one still hasn’t. It is passed the estimated time that automatic email confirmation give me. I will call them on Monday about the one.
But other forms were changed almost two weeks ago and I still didn’t receive any regular mail just emails.
Is that normal? Thank you.

Hey guys - I’m concerned about the effect of immigration freeze on my application. I filed for adjustment of status in june 2019 and my interview which was scheduled on 24th March was cancelled. My immigration category is sponsorship through a permanent resident spouse (Green card holder spouse).
Does this immigration freeze affect people living in the US?
I fear that they won’t allow everything after 60 days, they will most likely try to stretch it as far as they can. If someone can please send me a web link where I can read about this order and exemptions, I would really appreciate that. Thanks
