go and travel i did no problems at all
everything went fine they only ask me for how long i was out of country
and also i want to Thank everyone here because of this forum that why i went and did it!!

Have you ever heard about anybody who can't enter United States with advance parole after leaving the country?

I was approved advanced parole about two weeks ago and valid only for 2 weeks. I was so scared to go because every person organization and lawyer i spoke to advised me not to travel. I have DACA, and they told me advanced parole was even more risky than before. This forum actually really influened my decision and i finally decded to travel. I went to el salvador for just two days. My return was simple enough. I arrived at Dullas Airport in Virginia, I took the U.S. Visitors line. The first immigration officer took my passport asked for the purpose of my trip. Then he took my picture, and finger prints. Then he turned on a white light, another officer came and escorted me to a seperate room. Where another 40+ people were sitting while 2 officers did background checks. We actually waited for almost 3 hours but I think that had more to do with being understaffed than any real problem. Once the officer called my name he asked if i had luggage and if so to grab it and then walk out of the room. Our interaction lasted literally less than a minute. And that was it, no questions or problems. If you have no criminal record you have nothing to fear traveling with DACA and advanced parole.

Have you received your Advance Parole yet based on awaiting of Adjustment of Status ?
And if you did when did you mailed your application for Advance Parole?

Im still waiting for mine and you can help me calculate of weeks I wtill have to wait. Thanks!

I just wanna ask you if I get my combo card including advance parole, I understand that when I come back from a trip the officers will stamp my passport for validity of one year, so does this mean that I can travel unlimited times within the validity? If I have my passport stamped they just check it at counter and no need to go again to the small room? Thank you

I just got approved for advance parole and it says "multiple entries "and expires a year from day of issue. However, the first name on the approved document is a name I haven't used in a long time although still on my birth certificate. My EAD, passport all have my nickname. Will that be a problem?

Well Ima start off by saying that even though I knew how things are with daca and everything else I still took the risk knowing that after I spoke with my attorney he suggested not to leave the country , but guess what I still did and I'm glad I made that decision cuz man it was very worth it . After 11 years I got to see my mom and my sister and the rest of the family . I was always positive and confident at the same time that anything or anyone can stop me as long God is with me. I traveled with no worries and I came back with no worries after all USA has be come my home :) long short story I got to immigration desk I was dang happy not nervous cuz I told to myself whatever comes I'm ready for it . They took me to the second room I waited for like 10 minutes I heard my name I went up to the officer and the only thing he asked was how are you and since I had problem receiving my documents from uscis I had to put a different address . He asked me I have different address I explained after that I heard you're good to go .

This is how the trip went for us. My husband got his AP approved 08/20/17 thru 11/30/17. We went to his home country Mexico 09/23 to 09/25, flying out of Phoenix, AZ and going to Mexico City, Mexico. Going there was super easy because everyone spoke english and I had been to the airport before. We had a lay over of 6 hours in Guadalajara. The airport was was scary on the outside of the security check point. Everything was in Spanish which I do not speak and my husband is not the best Spanish speaker. We walked around and got some scary people looking at us. But once we got behind the security check point we felt much safer. There was all kinds of nationalities in the lounge and things were in English. The airport workers are not very nice and complete different experience than here in the USA. Once we got to Mexico City, it was 2 am there and pretty empty. Lots of people sleeping on floors but not scary at all. We visited my husbands family, which was nice!!! Got dropped off 6 hours before our flight back to Guadalajara because it is VERY dangerous to drive on the freeway at night. We went to the Volaris boarding desk to get our tickets. The lady asked for my passport, my husbands and his VISA saying he could go to America. We gave her the AP forms and she kept asking for a VISA. We explained this is all we have she said that it not enough. At this point we are freaking out thinking we are going to be stuck. After about 20 mins she comes back from speaking to her boss who said that is suffice t enough and gave us our tickets. I was pretty nervous thinking my husband wasn't coming home with me. So to go through that stress made me feel so in edge even more the rest of the way. We did out waiting for our flight got to Guadalajara and had another 4 hour wait. We tried taking turns sleeping but that was hard. We got on our flight back to Phoenix. That is when my nerves started getting worse. I just kept thinking what was going to happen. We have two kids at home and I am 5 months pregnant this is the only guy I have been with. He is my sweetheart I can't loose him. I know it would be out of my hands but as a Citizen I feel I have to protect him because this is his home just as much as mine. We landed and went through. The CBP Officer took our passports and ID's scanned mine and verified my husband's. Then made him take a picture and fingerprinted both hands. He then told me to have a seat and my husband needed to go with him. I was nervous about that because our lawyer explained everything very well but didn't say we would be separated. It took about 15-20 minutes for him to come out but felt like an enternity. He came out with a BIG smile. I knew at that point we were in the clear and he wasn't going nowhere!!! He said they had him sit down while they waited for his fingerprints to come back clear and stamped his papers and gave them to him told him God Bless and have a good day. Once he got out I saw the papers stamped but his passport was not. I told him the lawyer told us the passport is what is important to be stamped. We were nervous to go back but I knew we needed the passport stamped. Once we went back the CBP Officers laughed and said yes he does need that stamped and said sorry. They then realized they gave both AP papers back to us so asked for one back. The gentleman officer said "man you sir are on top of your things, we should hire you to do this" they all laughed and said we were good Togo. We had the LONGEST walk out of the airport and it felt like we ran not walked. Once we got out I could not stop smiling and telling my husband we made it, your safe, I love you!!! Over all it wasn't bad just super scary!!! People here before leaving told us not to go and we even second guessed our trip up to the second day before leaving I was going to cancel our tickets. And to be honest if it was up to me we wouldn't have went. I was too scared to leave and my husband not come back with me. We only kept our tickets because my husband said we had spent so much money already on this process we have to give it a shot. I am so glad now knowing he is safe that we went. The officers are not mean at all and don't even ask questions. As long as you go during the time your AP is good for and don't have anything bad on your back ground I recommend going. It is scary but only because of the unknown. Go and take advantage of the opportunity of having an AP.

So I traveled sep 23 to sep 24 yes only for 2 days!!! traveled from Houston to Monterrey!!! Everything went more than good!!! I was super stressful!! On my thoughts something had to go wrong since it was sooo good to be true!! After 15 years being ilegal and get to go to my home town and see all my family!!!
So got to Houston to fly to Mexico and everything went perfect and great costumer service I was amazed!! Arrive to Mexico and I can't believe how the personal treat us!!! they are so rude... what a difference !!! The next day arrived to Monterrey's airport and I wasn't nervous at all I don't know why!!! This is how it worked for me.. I'm telling you this because I thought they were suppose to check everything in Mexico but NO!!!
First thing that I did was check in, they ask me for my passport and visa or residency and I gave him my AP papers he took like 10min since my last name was different on my passport and my AP paper and plane tickets but he said everything was fine it just takes more time ! Than he handed me the tickets and I was ready to aboard after they check my luggage... arrived to Houston there was a short line so I had no time to get nervous or nothing!!!
Went straight to the line and I was so happy that he was black (I think they're nicer than white and even Mexican Americans) he was the only one working there.... he said next And it was me ... he said how you doing and how was your flight and I said everything was great than I have him my passport, AP paper and my work permit.. he onle said DACA? WELCOME HOME!!! I was about to cry since he made me feel like home I think he knew how nervous we get to do this and he even said I like your tattoo it's so colorful ( i have a watercolor one on my wrist) I said thank you... and took my finger prints and picture... and I asked him if that was all that he needed so I could put the rest of my papers on my purse he said yes and he said someone will come and get you.. you're fine... a white officer came and got my papers and he didn't said hi or anything i just followed him and got to a room he only said sit down... it was only me... look around and there was nothing but a white officer and a Mexican American with no smiles on their rude face...
sat down for about 30 sec. and he called my name I was getting closer to him and he didn't say hi or anything the first thing that he said was: is there any chance that you're married to a citizenI said yes sir I am than he said: than why are you wasting you're time with this?? DACA isn't good all they want it's your money since you have to renew it every two years and they never do anything for y'all ... so when you get home tell your husband: honey you need to sponsor me he said you're the wife so tell him to start everything tomorrow!! and Trump is "trying to do something for y'all but you guys are always on the limbo"
Oh my God I feel so special that they worried about us!!! He said HERE IN HOUSTON WE TELL ALL THE DREAMERS TO FIND THE WAY TO FIX THEIR STATUS! You're lucky that you have the way to do it... than he asked, a lawyer is helping you with all this? and I said yes than he said ok if he tells you to renew DACA tell him NO that you want to go for residency because lawyers want your money too... he was stamping my passport and filling it up ( it says DACA and the day that you entered) we were talking about the hurricane and stuff... but he kept on telling me to go for the residency like 4 more times ... than he handed me my passport back and said I have to keep this TWO AP papers and I said ok.. and he said you're ready to go!!! Get home safe and welcome home!!! Than I started walking and he said one more time talk to your husband tell him to sponsor you !!! Omg I couldn't believe it that's all he asked he didn't even ask why did I traveled from Houston if I live in Dallas (I did it because the tickets were cheaper I bough them a day before my trip and that's why they were more expensive in Dallas than Houston.. houston has more airlines to choose that go to Monterrey) I walked almost run to the exit.. my mother in law traveled with me so she was waiting for me on the waiting area she was crazy nervous... we saw each other, ran than hugged and started crying like little girls she said that it took forever and she was about to panic.. but it was all nervous because everything was so fast... I was backing up last week but I'm glad I took the risk... just go for it that's all I have to say!!! And even better if you're traveling from Houston they're super nice plus what he said about every officer telling dreamers what I said before!! They really made me feel special and home!!! God bless you all and really take the risk it's worth it!!! I hope I was clear I'm not an English speaker 100% but I didn't want to put it in Spanish...I know there's a lot of dreamers that speak and understand English better... and I learned that the color doesn't matter on the officers it all depends on the person inside...
