E3D Visa / EAD Card Application
Hi Everyone,

This forum has been really helpful so I thought I would share my experience to try and help others that may be in my situation.

I am currently on E3D visa (married to Australian citizen who is on E3 visa) I've already had an EAD card but it expired and I didn't get it renewed on time so this is my "second EAD card"

My category is A17

Sent application around the 8th of March 2018

16th March 2018 - Receipt Received - I sent to Texas, and they forwarded my application to Vermont (Notice date in top right hand corner says 22nd March) cheque accepted.

Heard nothing at all (signed up for an account so I could receive email updates and SMS)

15th June 2018 - Card / Document Production - We ordered your new card and it is on its way. Received multiple emails saying the same thing and like 8 SMS notifying me aswell...

Expecting to receive it this week (will update once I receive the card)

So all up had to wait around 90 days / 3 months.

Good luck to everybody waiting for their EAD - From what I see on the forum it looks like Vermont is one of the centers that are processing a little quicker than others.

Waiting for EAD
Dear All,

I am a US Citizen and we filed I-130, I-485 and I-765 in California for my wife on 12/26/2017.

USCIS received the documents on 01/09/2018 and she did the Biometrics appointment that month.

We've been waiting since then. We don't mind I-130 and I-485 taking slow, but she's had a job offer since January pending the I-765. She could be working for pay and paying taxes but instead she's been volunteering for no pay.

It has now been 174 days since we submitted the forms, and 160 days since USCIS received them. We called them once in April, after the 90 days were up, but received a letter in May that they're still in the 2-5 month time frame. Currently USCIS website says that I-765 in California Service center is over normal processing time if it was received by them before 01/19/2018, but when I tried to file a request to look into it online yesterday, it didn't let me, said that we're still in the processing time.

What are my courses of action? I've read we could contact our congressman or ombudsman or file for an expedited EAD.

Our congressman in Laguna Niguel is Dana Rohrabacher, can't find the Ombudsman and don't know exactly how this expedited EAD works. What form is that, who do we send it to?

What else could we do? She wants to work, has a job offer, has been missing out on getting paid for almost half a year now. This is a major headache

Thanks.

FINALLY
After 227 days of waiting, praying and fasting. I finally got the update about “new card is being produced”. This is dedicated to everyone especially 2017 filers who are wondering why it’s been taking so long. I pray you get all you desire and be compensated with good jobs immediately. It’s such an emotional pain/distress when you can’t take control and have to wait for a higher authority. Good luck guys. Btw, I’m married to USC, filed 11/03/17. Raised 3 SR in Arpril and 2 in May. Had RFE on I-485 but pending interview now. NBC Service center.

Case awaiting for interview
Hi guys!

That’s my first post here, thank you for sharing your experience, I like to read sometimes so I know I m not alone to wait.

My timeline:

Filling date: 02/05/2018
PD: 02/13/2018
Biometrics: 03/21/2018
124 days waiting from PD

That’s an email I received from USCIS after my paralegal did my second service request:

On 05/17/2018, you or the designated representative shown below, contacted us about your case. Some of the key information given to us at that time was the following:

Filing date:
-- 02/05/2018

Receipt #:

The status of this service request is:

USCIS systems indicate that your case is awaiting an interview. Your local USCIS Field Office will contact you once they are able to schedule the appointment. Should you not be contacted by your local USCIS Field Office within 90 days of this notice, please contact the USCIS Contact Center at the number provided below.

It’s not clear to me....
It looks like they talk about an interview for my EAD. Because the service request my paralegal did is related to I-765 (EAD)

So I don’t know what does that mean..
I’m still waiting for my combo card (EAD/Travel permit)
What about this 90 days?....

Thank you in advance if someone nice can take the time to explain me!

Have a great day and good luck everybody !!

EAD approved
Here is my time line :
Married to USC, Nationality :Indian, Filed from F1. No RFE's

PD: Dec 5th 2017
Bio: Jan 2nd 2018
SR's: Several and no response
Congress man: helped with 5 requests and since I crossed 180 days we sent another request on 8th June
USCIS response was that they will expedite it

15th June 2018: I recd a mail stating card production.

My recommendation is that if congressmen can follow up diligently it can help. Bob cassey's office helped me out by sending regular follow up mails to USCIS.

RFE for L2 EAD
After 95 days of waiting, we received a Request For Evidence. Our case was submitted to the USCIS by Fragomen.

Looks like the only thing we can do now is to provide the "missing" document and hope for the best.
I'm just wondering, how long does it take for the USCIS to get back to processing our request once they get our response to the REF?

This is so frustrating... It's been so long, and looks like it even going to take even longer... :(

I-765 march filler
Hi Everyone,

I am married to LPR.
Our PD is Nov 2016.
We filled for I-485, I-765 and I-130 on March 2018, case was received on March 19 2018.
On 04/06/18 I had biometrics done.
On 06/05/18 we had AOS Interview

That is still unclear to me... Is there a chance that I will be waiting for my work authorization until I will get my GC ? I am aware of those delays... I am just thinking that maybe because we've already had an Interview my I-765 and I-130 cases are some how eliminated ??

PS. I didn't get any information after an Interview.
