EAD expedite process
Hi folks,

While the USCIS offices are closed, are any of you getting updates on your applications?

I am a licensed physician and want to help out with the workforce shortage during the coronavirus shortage. Can someone guide me with how to expedite my EAD?

Thanks!

Case was denied
Hello everybody ,
On March 20, 2020, we denied your Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status < That what I get on Friday... Now waiting for the notice that explains why they denied my case.

Have you ever heard any the situations about denied cases? So sad, because I waited for four months after fingerprints were taken and received only this notice, no interview, no REF, nothing...

Nyc stay home mandate
Hello all,
In nyc we have a stay at home mandate until April 7th. We are now the epicenter of the coronavirus in the USA.
The uscis website has been updated and still shows that all offices will be reopen April 1st with the exception of San Francisco and San Jose.
In that case it looks like I will still have my interview on April 8th.
I
Hope everyone remains healthy!

Interview was completed and case must be reviewed
I hope everyone is safe and healthy.

I had my i485 interview ( EB3) on March 13. IO was nice and at the end said everything is complete but I can’t approve now because I don’t have any visas. He handed me a paper with a check mark on “ your i485 interview is complete. However your priority date is not current at this time. Your case will be transferred to NBC or TSC until your priority date is current, once it’s current NBC/TSC will make the final decision on your case”
I’ve been very unlucky with this whole process from beginning. There has been lots of delays from uscis because they kept scheduling my interview in the wrong state causing 8 months delay and once I finally had my interview they ran out of visas :(
My PD is 8/30/2018. I’ve heard that I have to wait till October 1st until they release new visas. I’m so frustrated and tired of waiting.
My question/concern is with the current situation with economy and the green card waiting game, what happens if I got laid off, will I lose my application?
I’ve been very anxious and scared with everything happening, yet keeping my faith in god

Thank you and your responses are appreciated

I-485 journey is done - to share some good energy.
Guys - Hope you all are well and staying safe.

A week ago, 116 days after the interview at NYC, I got the update that "New card is being produced." Now I have received my GC, and it is a 10-year card without condition - the approval decision was made on around 2.5 years of our marriage anniversary, and I guess that was why my card does not have a 2-year condition. I was and am quite calm and even a little cold towards this good news because of the very frustrating life over the past few years, including the 116-day long waiting. However, I am still grateful for what I have now and wanted to share some good energy, and hopefully, it helps.

Let alone the harsh life in general, the interview was a big bummer before Thanksgiving. I lost my job one day before the interview in an unpleasant manner, and we both had some other issues that led us to a fight. Then the next-day whole interview experience was bizarre:
1. the interview was 2 hours later than the scheduled time;
2. the IO was an unhappy and cold lady who gave us some attitude the moment when she saw us;
3. we two were not able to get rid of the bad mood we gained before the interview, so we were a bit absent-minded though we tried to motivate each other while we were waiting ;
4. the conversation was awkward in general, and I cringed each time when I recalled - We did not have any surprising questions, but the vibe was more like an interrogation, the air was almost frozen, and the IO looked at us like we owed her money.

The result was a piece of white paper requiring us to wait at least 120 days, and the IO did not indicate any possible decision. At that moment, I almost collapsed, as the paper was a trigger to denote the bomb of negative energy that I have accumulated for years. The 116-day waiting was extraordinarily long and miserable, as you can imagine, and I almost gave up.

Two weeks ago, I called and discussed with my lawyer to prepare for the worst scenario. However, one day when I was practicing tennis, trying to distract myself, I received an update on my phone. I was expecting an RFE or second interview, to be honest, but it was the opposite, fortunately.

Many of you didn't or won't have the dramatic life and interview experience as I had. Still, I like to say that if you encounter any issues in the process of your I-485 application, please stay positive, keep praying, and try to be a better person as you always should. My religion has little to do with gods, but I believe that an optimistic mind and the goodness you bring to the people around will DEFINITELY return you something blessed and bright.

Now the virus outbreak has made all application processes longer, but I wish all of you an enriched and healthy life in and after the application journey.

My I-485 application is taking forever here in Kentucky
I applied in June 2017 and I received my Employment Authorization Card in December 2017 along with notice of interview. My wife and I went for the interview in February 2018 as scheduled in the notice that I received. The lady who interviewed me said she had doubts our marriage was real. She had 2 agents show up at our apt in April 2018. They questioned both of us that morning at 6:45 am when they showed up. They agents also went to my father in-law’s job to question him and also went to his home to question my wife’s step mom. I have been married for 3 years and it will make it 3 years that I sent in my I-485 application in May. The latest status on my I-485 application is my interview that was scheduled for February 2018. What can I do at this point to get them to give me an update on my I-485 application? The field office in Louisville, Kentucky doesn’t allow InfoPass. And, I have sent several e-requests with the Self Service Tool to get updates and they don’t ever respond to me
