Regarding Language for H4
In next month iam going to attend the interview for H4 and still i have to take the date. But before that i need some help from the people who has already got the visa. I have planned to take the interview in my own language telgu or hindi.

If i go by this option, will it effect on the interview, but very frankly to say my english is very weak. If i take the same in interview in english then iam sure that there will be a lot of problem for me to respond the voice officer.

Please help me in this case.

Thanks

We both got H1B
Hi Friends,

Firstly thanks to Lord jesus Christ & anjaneya swami for their love & blessings, and thanks to my employer who provided all documents,
and thanks to immihelp & users who posted their valuable experiences.
I attended stamping in dec last week, my husaband attended in jan second week, we both got H1B.
My experience is:
my interview scheduled at 9:30, i reached consulate at 8'O clock.VFS Guys advised to go inside, that day consulate is very rush, I showed Visa appointment letter & passport,I sat for an hour inside, after that one VFS guy came and asked to stand in counter number 9 for finger printing. That day 12 counters are operating for finger prints. Now my turn, She asked me I-797, I-129, LCA and Visa Appointment Letter, HDFC Fee Receipt and Passports. For me finger prints taken 10 min time bocz my hands shivering and sweat. After that she kept all the documents in Green Folder and asked me to go to another building.
The people who r going to attend stamping those must take care of two hands fingers(there must be no cuts), they will take all finger's prints.
At 10:30 my finger prints are completed next I went to another building ,one VFS guy came to me and asked to show appointment letter after checking my interview time he asked me to stand in queue, so many people are sitting beside. There are 7 interview counters operating on that day. Before me, 15 people are there in the queue, while standing in queue I am trying to listen VO accent, after hearing those I feared alot bocz I have less communication skills, I am not able to understand their accent.Queue is moving very fast, now my turn came , my conversation with VO

VO: How r u
me: FIne Thank You, Good Morning (passed green folder which is given in finger print section)
Vo: Plz give your right index finger print madam

me: 2 years 6 months
VO: Show me your first appointment letter
me: I showed (I carried my documents without any file, but I adjusted in order with indexed slips, so all ppaers order disturbed I am not able to c index slips, bcoz of this I confused to pick required document from bundle, so it's better to carry index files, I handled apnt letter to Vo, he Observed appointment letter & signatures in that letter
VO: Tell me about your first project?
me: I told Project Title ...for (Client Name),USA
Vo: After that..
me: I told second project title and explained project
VO: who are the clients for your company..?
me: I told five clients names (but he is stopped talking and watching me, immediately) Can I show Clients list..?
VO: Yes
me: I showed Clients list
VO: .......(I am not getting what he is saying, he is pronouncing some client name)
me: Sorry, Please repeat again(I asked 5 times like this..still I didn't get that word, here I tensed alot, but I assumed that he is asking for some client)
VO: You told some client name it is not in this list
me: I told Clients aaa..USA, bbb...USA, ccc...USA, ddd....USA
VO: ddd..
me: Yes (I spelled that client name, he checked something in his system)
VO: When did u join in this company?
me: jan 2005..(here my tension continued so i told wrong month)
VO: jan...!

VO: oh!ya, Thanks, same to u

My word to u all is : There VO(s) are very petience to listen our words if we are genuine. Listen their words carefully and answer to those point wise, don't answer without understanding ask them to repeat again.

Dress code : Went in cotton chudidhar with Company tag.

My Husaband experience :

VO: Hi, How are You.
He: Hi, I am Fine. Good Morning.
VO: Good Morning. He: Gave the folder of Docs given to me at the Finger print counter (i.e. I797, I129, LCA, Passport, Appointment Letter, DS-156, DS157)
VO: How many years of Experience do you have
He: 2 years and 6 Months. I have joined in June 2005
VO: What are the project you have done till now..
He: Explained each and every project and its domain, and its client , clients location and client business. I have explained all my 5 projects in all these and explained the project i am going to work there..
VO: Interpreted in between the conversation and said give me 1 sec.
He: I continued telling...
Vo: Sir I am issuing your visa.. You will get in 3 working days
He: Thanks...
Dress code: Went in a decent suite and tie, wearing a company tag.

We both reached to chennai day before, we didn't went to anywhere in chennai, we prepared(by sitting in hotel room) all projects perfectly which we did.

My Husaband Suggestions: be cool. calm and confident. I suggest while in queue not to listen vo words as you get tensed...No probs they will ask questions to you according to your job and company.

All the best for people who are going to visa and congrats to people who got visa.

Thanks,
Neelima

Got my H1B Stamped,,,Thanks to all who posted Valuble experiences..
Hello friends,,

Thanks to all who have posted the valueble information in the site.

I had my interview today and VO approved my VISA and said that Passport
would be couried.

when I was standing in the que,,Head of the consulate was explaining
some thing to few US individuals about the VISA, they might be probably
new VO's,,he introduced himself to the crowd there that he has 15 yrs of
experience in issuing VISA's and suggested few tips as below.

1) Say with smile HELLO to the VO
2) Pass on the file in the horizontal position to the VO, and not to take
out any doc from that file given by VFS.
3) He says that every one thinks that one should be confident to get the VISA,
but he says thats not true being confident and giving unreasonable answers.
4) He said that attention is the main key in getting the VISA, to hear clearly what
the VO is asking for and only provide the information or document.
5) he said not to tell Mahabharatha and only answer shortly to the question asked
by VO.
6) He also said not to fraud,,,that might lead to permanently disabling to enter US or that
might lead to Jail,,,,Instead give the true answer and if the VISA is rejected can reapply.
I hope the above points would be helpfull to all of you

My interview went on in the below manner

me:Hello :)
vo: Hello
me: How are you doing.
vo:good
passed on the file to him
vo:can you give me your educational certifications
me: gave him
He has checked the certificates
vo: how many years of total experience you have
me:11yrs
vo: can I see your experience certificates
me:gave him the exp certificates
vo: how long have you been working with ZZZ
me; close to 3yrs
vo: what were you doing with network solutions
me; supporting banking networks like xxx and yyy.
vo:what is the project you are going to do onsite and whos the client
me: xxx is the project developed by the company and i will be supporting the network for the project.
vo: ok, you will get the passport couriered.
me: thank you.

He did not ask for any additional documents.

Thanks again guyzzz,,,,,All the best who are awaiting VISA's,,,Dont worry those who did not
get the visa,,,that not the end of life..better luck...

221 (g) Issues_Whole lot of confusion !!
I had my interview scheduled on Jan 04, 2008 and had been handed over 221 (g) stating petition under review and USCIS will get back to petitioner after completion of review.

Problem for me is VO had asked me give in writing of me withdrawing my application due to lack of qualification and experience, as far as education is concerned I have completed my 3 years degree and 2 years post graduate diploma program (equivalent to Master in India). I have total of 21 months of work experience as Business analyst with my present employer in India.

Please clarify as to why the VO had refused to issue me a Visa there and why has he taken in writing of my lack in education and experience. He dint provide me with any other options as well.

If any of you had undergone this kind of situation, pls do let me know wht can i expect from this case.
