Traveled with AP
Hello Everyone i wanted to thank you all for helping me gain the courage to travel with AP my wife and i drove to Rocky Point to meet up with my boss on Monday then we drove back yesterday morning everything went pretty smoothly at the port of entry the agent was super nice and stamped both AP Papers and my Passport he kept one of the AP Papers and gave me back the other. the only thing he did not do was take my finger prints or take a picture. Has this happened to anyone else?

If you have AP use it and go! Have faith in God that is what i did and he did not let me down!

My Travel With AP

Timeline:

*WARNING* (Avoid Volaris Airline like a plague!)
I booked my flight for Friday March at 11pm with Volaris and when I arrived 3 hours early to check in I was told I missed my flight because it was actually for 11am yet somehow it arrived at 6am the same day????? WTF! I ended up buying new plane tickets with United on the spot for my sister and I for the following day at 7am (had to sit at LAX for 11hrs! Since I lived to far to go home) now we are $400 short because Volaris switched out our departure without telling us.

My trip:
Finally after arriving safely with United to Mexico city we were greeted by family we had not seen in 17 years! We took a certified taxi from the airport (DO NOT! Take a taxi outside of the Airport or else you may not make it to your destination). We were dropped off to a bus station and rode in a charter for 2+ hours to my families town of Tenancingo for the weekend. The weekend went by so fast and wished I would have stayed longer but I had to depart because of school and work. My departure was Monday March 13 at around 9pm from Mexico city airport through Volaris since we had bought round trip tickets and the return flight was still valid. As I was getting checked in by the Volaris staff I handed them copies I made of my original AP papers since I read here on Immihelp of someone getting one of their AP papers taken away from the ground staff at Mexico city airport and I sure wasn't going to let that happen (you need both identical copies when you arrive at CBP in the US) or else you run the risk of running into trouble. The ground staff in Mexico City airport was not able to tell they were not original and still approved my check in to board. When boarding time came around we almost missed our flight again because Volaris over sold tickets for the last departure to LAX but luckily my sister and I pushed are way upfront and were let through, sadly many people were not able to board and had to wait for the next flight which was the next day at 10am! When we arrived at LAX we were one of the two last planes that landed that night at around 11:40 pm and guess What? Yup you guessed it, the line to get through CBP was LONG! We reached the counter at 1:57 am. Luckily, my sister who is a US citizen was allowed to stay with me in line until we both reached the counter together :) or else we would have been separated. The person in the checking desk by the name Griffin was super cool! He asked my sister if she wanted to go ahead and find our ride and luggage or else she would have to wait a while since my AP paper would take a while to complete but she refused to leave and said no I'll wait for my brother. Mr. Griffin scanned both my finger prints and took my picture, then another officer escorted me into a near by room while my sister waited outside for my with our luggage. I sat in a room with maybe 5 other people and we watched a TV show based on California while we waited. Nobody in the room had AP but I and so practically was the last person to be called up. However, everyone else who was called up before me was asked soooo many questions once they reached the window making me feel a bit anxious since I've been here all my life 28 years (was brought when I was just over 30 days old) so all I know is life here in the USA. Finally I hear one of the CBP officers say DACA really loud let's see here. He then walked into a back office and comes out with a hugh stamp and right when he is half way back he is like oops wrong one and walks back to grab another one. I then here two stamps and he calls my last name to come up and hands me my passport and AP both stamped ?? and says have a good.

So Happy!!! Gracias a Dios.
Hi everyone.
I applied for AP November 9th and received approval February 28th.
I was exited and nervous at the same time. Before they approved it I told
my family that I wasn't going to go if they did approve it because of all
the bad things you here on tv.I found this forum
And reading all the experiences here gave me the courage
To travel. I went to Mexico on March 10th and returned March 12th through
Tijuana/San Diego. I traveled with my 3 boys and husband. I was very
nervous but trusted In God that everything was going to be ok. The officer
sent us to secondary Inspection, when I got there another officer told me
To go inside and wait for my name to be called. They called my name
And ask if I had the little card (work permit) said yes and gave it to them.
The lady didn't ask me anything. She just took my fingerprints, picture, and
Filled in then parole stamp. She didn't stamp my passport(don't know if
That's normal). If you have an approved AP, I say go for it. Don't let it go
To waste.. Good luck to everyone hope this helps you like it helped me.

AP approved: March 4, 2017
Traveled: March 9-12

I came back today through the CBX border cross in Otay. When my husband and I arrived at the airport we went to buy the CBX border tickets and then walked the tunnel to USA.
We waited in line until a customs agent called us to go, my husband handed his Passport and I placed my 2 AP copies, passport and work permit on top of the desk. The officer grabbed my documents and started reading the AP and only asked; how old are you?, when did you apply for this document? And do you go to school? I responded to everything, then he took us to secondary inspection in the back and said in Spanish "siéntate a la derecha." To be honest I started to feel nervous but I had so much Faith and trust in God that everything was going to be okay.
During the second inspection a second officer got my documents but he was just staring at me but I pretended I didn't care and I started talking to my husband.
After 20 min of waiting he called my name and asked "Is this your address?" I said yes, he took my finger prints and a picture. He said to go back and wait. I waited another 15 minutes while he was walking around with my documents and asking questions (I don't think he was too familiar with AP because he asked another officer about my document).
He called my name again, this time with AP stamp and he only said " your AP was for one entry only therefore you can't use it again, keep this copy for your records I don't know if you need to send this back but just keep it" then he said have a nice day.

You guys take advantage and leave as soon as you can, I can't wait to adjust my status.
All I have to say is that God is good! Just pray to Him and everything is going to be okay if it's His will.
My prayer to God was for officers not to ask me any questions. God is faithful????

AP with TPS - El Salvador
Hello guys! Thanks to all who have shared their journeys, it's really encouraging to us all!
Just wanted to add my experience, I recently traveled from Washington to El Salvador and back (with a layover in Panama) with my passport, EAD card, ID, and AP documents. I'm very happy to report that my entire trip was a breeze. I had no issues leaving and coming back. Once I arrived in Washington, I was not interrogated or rudely treated. I know this varies per airport and TSA agent, but everyone at IAD was very polite. The agent stamped one of my AP documents along with my passport and gave both copies back to me. This is something I also see varies, but that was my experience. No one really deserves the Glory except for God, I know He was with me every step of the way. My best to all looking to travel soon, with God anything is possible.
