H1B @ Chennai after two 221g's
Hi everybody...and thanks to immihelp for maitaining a great site. I got my H1B at chennai on 14th March after getting 221g for couple of times...so all such cases dont worry and try to get the required documentation...I have already posted my first experience on this site but will beriefly touch upon all of them...

1st interview Jan5th 2006...

VO: which company are you going for?
ME: xxxx

VO: how long are you with current company?
ME: X years

VO: Gimme your degree certificates?
...took a look at them and looked satisified...then came the real question

VO: do you hvae the internal project development details?
ME: gave my next 12 months assignments document...
at this point VO asked to she wants full iternary of the internal development project and gave me 221g...

2nd interview...16th Feb 2006

VO: did you get the requested documents?
ME: yes...gave him all the documents

VO: So what are you going to do in this project?
ME: told him my duties...

VO: Is this porduct a web based product or desktop application?
ME: told him bla bla...

VO:Do you have any product brouchers?
ME: no

VO:Do you have a live demo of the prototype?
ME: at this point I am not sure what to say...so told him that I have to enquire that with my employer since I am not sure in which phase they are in right now...

VO: can you show me the photos of the work place where you will work?
ME: gave him the photos...

VO: sir I am ok with your project details but I want to see a lease agreement of the office space of your employer...he continued saying that he is not sure how big the office is...he also asked me to get a marketing analysis which has the costs and revenue details for the said product...

3rd interview...14th March

VO: good afternoon...
ME: afternoon sir, how are you doing?

VO: good...did you get the lease agreement?
ME: yes...all the requested documents are in the folder...

VO: can you give me the work place photos...
ME: gave them...at this point i was thinking whether he will ask about the live demo of the product...coz my employer gave some reason stating that he wont be able to provide a live demo...he also gave the cost and revenue details...but surprisingly the VO didnt even bother about them..he just looked at the lease agreement and photos...and said...I am granting you visa sir...if you hvae any problems with your employer this is how you should complain...and handed over me a document...

so that's about it...I have decided to close my application if I dont get the visa 3rd time but luckily I am through this time...:)

All the best for ppl who are attending in near future...

my visa interview
Hello Everyone!

I was issued by a 221[g] form by the VO on Feb 7th. I was asked to get the following documents.

1. A detailed description of the petitioners needs for this position and how benificiary worker intends to address him.

2. A list of all petitioner's active projects. Identify the client and point of contact with the client, including a phone number and email address for that person. If the contract with the client is held by a third party, provide names and contact information for that party as well.

3. A signed letter from the beneficiary's prospective supervisor at the end client location to which he/she will be assigned, stating the client's intention to make use of the beneficiary's services and explaining the nature and duration of the project to which he/she will assigned.

I would be really thankful ..if anyone could help me out in providing some formal templates for the above documents.

Waiting for responses..

Thanks a billion...

Got my H1 Visa Stamping
First of all sincere thanks to this site and all those who have shared their experience over here whihc really helped me to build my confidence. So I thought it is my responsibility to post my
expierence too for all those who would be going for stamping.
My interview was on 13 March at the Mumbai consulate.Well the process is quite cool, well orgainzed and disciplined.
All the instructions are given clear and in detail by the officers over there. We just need to follow them and do nothing except that.
Well the interview was just was 2-3 minutes and following is our conversation -
Me: Good Morning
Officer:Good Morning
Officer:For how may years are you in 'xxx' company? (which is my current company)
Me: 2.2 yrs
Officer:Where were you working before joining 'xxx' complany?
Me: 'yyy' co.
Officer:For how may years you were in 'yyy' company?
Me: 3.5 yrs
Officer:So how much is your total Software exp?
Me: 5.7 yrs.
Officer:What technologies do you work in?
Me: Java,J2EE
Officer:What is J2EE?
At this point I was a little surprised as to I didnt knew whether the officer
really meant by that or he was just casually asking it.
I told him in just a couple of sentences about J2EE.
Officer:Where are you going to stay in US?
Me: I told my place as was mentioned in my Case Papers.
Officer:Ok,your passport will be couriered to you in couple of days.
Me: Thanks you.
And that's it, I left the consulate.
