Got my H1 Visa Stamping
First of all sincere thanks to this site and all those who have shared their experience over here whihc really helped me to build my confidence.So I thought it is my responsibility to post my
expierence too for all those who would be going for stamping.
My interview was on 13 March at the Mumbai consulate.Well the process is quite cool, well orgainzed and disciplined.
All the instructions are given clear and in detail by the officers over there.We just need to follow them and do nothing except that.
Well the interview was just was 2-3 minutes and following is our conversation -
Me: Good Morning
Officer:Good Morning
Officer:For how may years are you in 'xxx' company? (which is my current company)
Me: 2.2 yrs
Officer:Where were you working before joining 'xxx' complany?
Me: 'yyy' co.
Officer:For how may years you were in 'yyy' company?
Me: 3.5 yrs
Officer:So how much is your total Software exp?
Me: 5.7 yrs.
Officer:What technologies do you work in?
Me: Java,J2EE
Officer:What is J2EE?
At this point I was a little surprised as to I didnt knew whether the officer
really meant by that or he was just casually asking it.
I told him in just a couple of sentences about J2EE.
Officer:Where are you going to stay in US?
Me: I told my place as was mentioned in my Case Papers.
Officer:Ok,your passport will be couriered to you in couple of days.
Me: Thanks you.
And that's it, I left the consulate.

My petitioner has mis-typed my passport number in I-129. when i informed this to my petitioner, says it is OK.
Is is it OK or do i have to get it changed.

How compulsory is Educational Evaluation certificate for H1B stamping
I am a post graduate with MCA from Nagrjuna University, Andhra Pradesh.
My employer didn't send me my educational evaluation certificate document. I am not sure if got it done.
Is this document compulsory or have any one attended w/o this and have been successful.

Half work experience mentioned in I129
Hi All,
On my I129 , by mistake my employer has mentioned only my current and last employer's name in WorkExperience. They haven't mentioned my other 2 companies workexperience.
Will that b a problem . I have all original work exp docs. Same has been mentioned on DS-157.
Pls reply ASAP since i have interview next week.

I need some information..please help .. I send my documents tru drop box on 27th of Jan..Till now I didn’t get my passport or any information from Consulate or VFS service.. I want to Call Chennai Consulate for my Status..Please let me know the telephone Number, Timings to Call them and what are all the Inputs I need to inform to them.. I mean what they will ask Passport number or any thing else..

The name in my passport , my 10th and inter and my H1 petition is like Poojitha Kanumuru , where as my name in my degree and PG certificates is printited as Poojitha K . Will it create any problem as i have an appointment on 17th march .

H4 applicant : what all documents to carry if going alongwith H1B applicant?
Me(H1) and my wife(H4) are having a combined stamping at Chennai.
What all documents are required by H4 applicant to carry other than the below:
1) DS-156/DS-157
2) HDFC receipt
3) Appointment letter
4) marriage certificate/photos
Above these documents, does she need to carry anything more like a xerox copy of my offer letter/I797, LCA etc?

Spouse of person working in US
My husband, me and my daughter are in US for 3 years now. Our H1, H4 visas expired in jan, 2006. My husband changed his employer in Nov 2005 and he has a new LCA from the new employer. We are planning a trip to Delhi in Jun 2006 and we already have visa appointments.
We are so scared...will everything go fine? What are the chances of our visas getting rejected?
What will be the possibility of getting visas stamped for me and my daughter if my husband is unable to accompany us to India?

Hello All,
I had been to Chennai Consulate for my H1B stamping on 03/08/2006. Here is an excerpt of the interview details
VO: Good Morning
Me: Good Morning
VO: Give me the file
Me: Gave the file
VO: Checks on the system for 3-4 minutes
VO: Can I see your Bachelors degree cert. and transcripts
VO: Can I see your Masters cert and transcripts
VO: Checks on the system for 3 minutes
VO: Where are you working now and what is your role
Me: Explain him for 2 minutes
VO: Can I see your experience letter
VO: Where will you be working in the US
Me: One of the clients of my employer
VO: Do you know which client
Me: At this time no. But will be placed at one of the client location as soon as I go there
VO: Do you have any document from the end client
Me: given a document that employer has sent stating that I would placed at one of the client.
VO: No. I don't need this. I would need documents from the end client. Takes out the blue form and marks 3 checkbox's
15 photographs of interior & exterior of the end client location
A signed letter from the beneficiary's prospective supervisor at the end client location to which he/she will be assigned, stating the client's intention to make use of the beneficary's services and explaining the nature and duration of the project to which he/she will be assigned.
A complete itinerary of services or engagements specifying the dates of each service or engagement, the names and addresses of agent, the names and addresses of the actual employers, and the names and addresses of the establishment, venues or locations where the services will be performed.
I guess there will be someone who might have got the same 221(g). Can you please let me know how you replied back or can someone who has template of these send me to my email address [email protected]
