Yepee GC approved without interview!!

Phew!! first and for most i would like to thank My God our Lord for making this happen.
then to all Immihelp members for your encouragement and unconditional psychological support.
My whole AOS process took about 10 months ( unlike most 4 to 6 months) but i got approved without an interview on October 6th

how it went..

Phew!! first and for most i would like to thank My God our Lord for making this happen.
then to all Immihelp members for your encouragement and unconditional psychological support.
My whole AOS process took about 10 months ( unlike most 4 to 6 months) but i got approved without an interview on October 6th

It all went like this:
came in on K1 Visa in Nov 2011
Got married Dec 2011... applied SSN, did a written driving test for an instruction permit.
Filled AOS, Work permit and travel document in January 2012 to Chicago lock box (Without a lawyer)
Received NOA for all three on January 17th 2012
Received a biometrics appointment letter in Feb for March 6th 2012
Also received another letter saying my case was transferred to CSC (for faster Processing)
Did biometrics uneventfully on March 6th... ( i was done in 10 minutes!!!!)
Received a Combo Card (work permit and AP) on March 16th 2012.

This is when the long wait and worry started.... my case status online was still on "initial review".
I made a total of 4 calls to USCIS asking about the progress but the answer was " keep waiting every case is different".
Meanwhile i applied for a job, opened a bank account and got my Driving License.

October 6th my case status online changed to " a new card has been ordered for me i will recieve it in the mail.

I am so happy one step is done as this is only a conditional GC.... thank you once more for the good work you do.
for those who are still waiting don't give up everything will be alright. I hope this will help someone out there.
