Hi,
We are about to send the AOS package. But we are not sure if we have enough evidence for the i130 form.
1. We live with roommates, in a house. The roommate and I are on the lease, my husband is not. We did intend to find a place on our own, but since he can't work here yet, we can't really do that. Those who are familiar with the rental market in the Bay Area will understand better why. Would a letter from me or my roommate (or both) serve instead of a lease? The roommate was also present at our wedding.
2. We do not have a bank account together yet, for the same reason.
3. He is on a prepaid phone, I am still on my family plan. For how we use the phones, it is actually more expensive for us to get our own plan.
4. He does not have a drivers licence, so he is not on my car insurance.
5. We share a wifi in the house, only one person is on the contract.
6. He does not have an ID. Even mine for that matter, does not show the current address.
Can we submit without this evidence? The way we understand the whole process, he should receive some benefits before the interview? This would allow us to do one or all of these things before the actual interview, but can we file without it?
The prerequisites seem to be geared more towards older people, different economy and a different place. I had to get a co-sponsor, and all of this would be much easier if we both worked.
