Need to file both I-130 & I-485 or just I-485

Im a US citizen, my wife is here on a F1 student visa. We got married back in March and just now decided to apply for her green card. I did my research and it sound like I need to file a I-130 form and she need to file a I-485. We talked to an immigration lawyer, she said we only need to file the I-485. The fee she was charging for the whole process is way too expensive, so we decided to do it ourselves. Can anyone with experienced confirm if we need to file both the I-130 & I-485 or just the latter? Thank you

Her I-485 is based on an approved I-130, so you need to file both. You can file both at the same time. There are guides on various sites on what forms to include.
