EAD question

Hi! We just filed for I 486 AOS after entering here with a K1 visa. I have just finished my biometrics today. Now i just have a few questions:

1. What are we going to do next? I believe we just have to wait for our interview appointment? I wasnt really sure so I thought I'd ask. Then once thats approved, am I going to be granted a temporary green card? how long does tha process usually take?

2. We didnt apply for EAD with our I485. But isnt it correct that once you get ur temporary green card at least, u can start working without the EAD? I dont have to work until next year, so we thought we would just wait.

If everything goes well probably 2months

1. You will receive an appointment letter telling you when and where your interview is. As meldy360 mentioned, it’ll probably be a couple of months before your interview.

2. You can work using your conditional green card. The purpose with applying for an EAD is that it usually goes faster than the green card.
