My mom came in the U.S. on a B1/B2 visa last year. During her stay, I got my US citizenship and filed for her I-130 & I485 AOS at the same time. This was Sep 2012 and we got the I-797 Notice of Action (receipt) 10 days later. Since then we havent heard anything yet, it's been 5 months.
My question is, can she get out of the country and come back using her B1/B2 visa while waiting for the AOS decision?
Or can we write a letter to USCIS and convert his I-130 application from AOS to Consular process ?
Any experience in similar situation or any infomation will be appreciated. Thanks much !
