    Proof of i-485 application. What should I carry on me..?

    Hi,
    I entered the US on the VWP and that will end in 10 days. Yesterday I submitted my i-485 application to USCIS.

    My Question centers on this. I live in Arizona. And due to the strange laws here, anyone the police suspects of being an illegal immigrant must show their paperwork. After the VWP stamp in my passport runs out in 10 days, I'll have nothing to show.

    Will USCIS send me something that I can carry around with me and show the police whenever I am stopped??

      Great. Thanks. Now I just have to hope that it arrives in the next 6 days or I'll be thrown in jail if a police officer hears my accent... hmm
