  • Do I need a lawyer for i485?

Hi, new here and I'm looking for some advice & suggestions!

I'm applying for EB-1, alien with extraordinary ability, and my I140 got approved today with the help of my lawyer, for that section of the legal fees I've already paid in full.

While I enjoy working with my lawyer, I wonder if I can take care of the rest of the procedure by myself, mainly because the legal fees for I-485 in addition to the USCIS filing fees is considerable. From what I understand, the hard part was getting I-140 approved, and the rest is mostly just procedural matters.

So should I just be safe and pay the fees, stick with my lawyers(again, I can afford it, but the amount is not insignificant for me). Or can I just do some research and get the rest of the matters done myself, without risking ruining the process and not being able to get the green card in the end?

Thank you very much for your help and suggestions!

    you can do it yourself

First of all you have to download the I-485 I-765 I-131 G325 etc.

Fill it carefully and do it yourself, these are easy to fill

ask any time if you have any question
