Dependents returning to India after biometrics; Primary EB1 applicant in the US

I have an approved I-140 in EB1. I-485/765/131 is in process for me and family (spouse and two daughters) at Texas Service Center; dates are current; our biometrics appointment is scheduled on 05-Aug-2013. My current status is L1, family on L2. L1/L2 visas are valid until 31-Dec-2013. My family may need to return to India after the biometrics appointment for schooling - we do not want to change schools until the GC is confirmed. I will remain in the US. What options does my family have?

You may travel with L visa but must come back before it expires is your only option. You and your family also should be in the U.S. for any interview which should be around the same time your L visa expires. Since I-140 is approved, you will get your GC.
