  • I-94 number paper copy not matching electronic record

    Hi

We are applying for green card for the parents. After returning from a trip to Mexico, the person at the border did not remove the I-94.

When we retrieve the I-94 the number is different from the paper version. Should we use the number in the paper version or in the electronic version while filing for GC?

    Regards

I would always use what you have physically as supporting documents. However, you will need to also include the place and date last entered to U.S. So make sure you submit the correct place and date on forms. If you're unsure submit both.
