Hi - my fiance is here on an H1B visa, but was recently selected for the diversity visa lottery. As he is already in the united states he was told to fill out an i-485 form. He had an apointment with a USCIS officer who was not completely helpful at his meeting. Does he need to have an i-864 form filled out on his behalf? I tried calling the USCIS today and was told different things by different people - one person told me that he should do an i-134, but then a second person told me that no affidavit of support form was needed. Any ideas?
Also, the officer gave him an i-765 form but didn't say a word about it. Should he be filling this out and filing it as well? His current visa does not expire until Jan 2015. Thank you!
