I have been in the US for about 12 years now between school and work. Today, I am currently under an H1B visa which is expiring end of October. While my work visa is currently being renewed, my Fiancee and I are thinking of officially tying the knot end of September. Would someone be kind enough as to explain the whole process as to the change of status?
