my mother and i applied for adjustment of status through a lawyer. we went to the interview in detroit,mi on july 8, 2002. the interviewer told us that we will get our green cards in a month. my mom got hers in august but i didnt and to this day i am still waiting. i never even gotten a letter from them telling me what happened. somebody told me that my case changed because of my age. when i first applied i was 20 and when the case got further on i turned 21. i went to the government website and it asks for a receipt number and i dont know where to find that. is anybody else in this situation? what can i do? my lawyer seems to be doing nothing about this.
