Hello everyone!
I got married to my husband in May and I'm about to file Green Card application. My husband is a naval officer and he's been on deployment and I've been staying with my in-laws in Florida. I entered the U.S. with B-2 visitor in April and decided to get married to my husband, fiance then, and then here I am, about to file the application by myself (My husband left after he was done signing his parts) My questions are:
1. I will be going to San Diego next month and staying there for two month (until December). Then, my husband and I will be moving up to Washington state because that's his duty station. I'm worried about the interview though...Since I'm here in FL, I wrote my address the Florida one but..what if the interview gets scheduled while I'm in San Diego? I will be staying at a hotel with my husband in California and then we will have a place in Washington...so WHAT SHOULD I DO? Should I change addresses everytime I move? even to a San Diego hotel address?
How long does it take to get my interview scheduled? (approximately) And is it okay to change addresses often? Doesn't it make the whole process longer and confusing? I'm just worried about..actually everything, I guess.
2. Should I attach our wedding pictures along with the application forms? I also heard that I need to write a letter explaining how my husband I met, etc...is it true? I'm going to attach our cell phone family plan bill copy and lease agreement as proofs...and of course, a copy of our marriage certificate. (Is there another way to make a copy of Marriage certificate? I just made a copy at a Fedex and someone told me about "certified copy" and I don't know what that means...)
3. If I file 1-765, will I get work permit? How long does it take to get it?
4. Do I have to put checks with the application forms altogether? I can just put all the documents and checks in a big document envelope and send it to Chicago lockbox, correct?
5. I'm very nervous about the whole thing and it's kinda tough because my husband is not with me now
Please give me any advice or things I need to know...anything will greatly help me. Thank you soo much!
