I'd like to ask what are the risks of losing a green card holder's resident status if he marries a F1 visa holder in the USA, assuming that the interviews and the procedure of admitting the marriage as eligible don't go well?

No risk, unless the greencard holder is entering into the sham marriage for fraud purposes and it is not genuine marriage.
