I-693 Medical exam

My I-130 is approved & my priority date is current. I do not have varicella (chickenpox) vaccine as required & I can't take the vaccine at this point due to pregnancy. I researched that the civil surgeon can put 'contraindicated' on the form to show that I can't take it, but I'm worry that this will jeopardize my eligibility to get permanent residency. Any suggestion?

That's no problem. Whatever you can't take due to medical reason is fine.

Thanks for replying. We have another complication with the medical exam, that's requiring a chest x-ray. Our family doctor is not recommending this due to pregnancy. We're thinking to just wait until the baby is born before continuing the process. The question is will our approved I-130 expire? Is there an expiration date for an approved I-130?

The I-130 approval is good for a year. You can request that the doctor indicates his "waiver" of the xray requirement for completion of he I-693. This works for waiving shots and vaccinations for other medical (pregnancy) reasons.
