Ok so we sent off the i130 packet in march and have yet to receive any information about what the next move could/would/should be.
a little background
My wife is from the Bahamas, and we are married with 2 kids. I lived there for 6 months, met her, and brought her back with me in Dec 2010.
She was pregnant in Jan and when we tried to send her back before the 6 months were up she was unable to board due to sickness.
But we figured it was ok since we were already married. Anyway we had the baby and she went back home jan of 2012 for a funeral, she lost both her grandmother and grandfather.
so she overstayed a year. When i tried to bring her back in april of 2012
she was turned back around, can't board because of the overstay. 3 years i believe is the bar set. which will be jan of 2015. Anyway we didn't know anything
about the paperwork at the time, we figured you just get married and everything is all good. So i just fly back and forth - talked to a few people, and went from there.
so we put the i130 through in march of this year, and it's been 7 months, should i be worried.
and plus with all this talk about the government shutting down, and people probably can't get passports, so im guessing that goes for immigration situations as well.
