Hello everyone, so we had our immigration interview in Texas ( I am asking for my spouse, as a US Citizen) we went, the officer didn't have any issues whatsoever, told us everything looked good and that we should expect to receive our response in about 2 - 4 weeks (this interview was 2 weeks ago) Yesterday in the mail we received 2 different letters, both asking my spouse to appear again at the place where we had our interview for "an official matter" in a month from now, at two different times in one day,.. it doesn't request any documents, etc. we are very nervious because we have absolutely no idea on what this is in regards to, if its normal, or if there's something wrong in our application.. I already called USCIS customer service and they were not able to give me any information in regards to my case.. Has anyone had a similar situation? we haven't even received our temporary travel or work documents and we are wondering if we will have to wait one more month for this too, we have family across that we haven't seen in months and were hoping to be able to travel during the holidays.. if anyone can share some insight on this it would be greatly appreciated! thanks!

A second interview after an Adjustment of Status interview is usually because "something" didn't seem right first time around. I had two clients recalled for second interviews simply because the male applicants didn't respond to questions (didn't interview well).

Ray, thanks for your response.. do you know if this interferes in any way with the travel or work permit?

Ariana,
If you progressed as far as the Green Card interview, you may never get the Work Authorization (combo card) with Advance Parole.
If there are some additional evidence issues, you might not get the combo card.
But if you do get the combo card and you don't have the Green Card yet, you are reasonably safe in using either option on the card.

If you don't have any issues then please appear to the IO along with your spouse. Don't forget to carry all your documents, in case if they want to see.
Don't be nervous, it may be just couple more questions they forgot to ask or they need a clarification.
It's good to proceed as soon as possible, so you can clarify your dough-ts about travelling.
Good Luck.
