What to do after marriage in the US?

Hey,

I am confused after reading through the guides and hope someone can break this down a little for me. My situation:

- entered the US legally 12/10/2010 on L1A (current until 11/29/2013)
- lost job on 7/22/2013
- got married to a US citizen on 11/29/2013

I am confused about the whole process as there seems to be either an option for never overstaying or overstaying 6 months on more. I believe I am somewhere in the middle and feel in limbo.

Is it enough to file I-130 and I-485 and hope for the best? Should I take any other steps?

I am a licensed massage therapist in Texas (licensed since 11/04/2013) and registered my business on 11/27/2013.

Any help would be welcome.

So long as you entered the U.S. with a valid visa, which can be converted, you can be petitoned and adjusted without leaving the U.S.
