I am on H1b visa and my wife has H4 visa stamp but living abroad currently (never entered US). My EB3 petition was filed and Labor and I-140 have been completed. Now my priority date has become current and I can file for I-485. However, I am not sure if I should file due to following reasons:
1. I would like to file for myself and my spouse but since she is not in USA would that be a problem?
2. Can I file for myself and then have her file via consular processing abroad? Would that take forever?
3. She plans to visit in June - should I file for both at that time? She wont be here for long as she has to complete her education abroad till Dec2014.
What is the best possible route? Any help is greatly appreciated....both my H1B and her H4 are expiring in Aug 2014.
