Hello,
Wanted to get input from the experienced folks about the following question:
First, a little background: I'm a physician who has completed training on J-1 visa and now doing a J-1 waiver job in a medically-underserved area. This is my third year of the waiver job(will be completed in June 2014) and I have been on H1B visa during this time.
I recently applied for EB-1 Extraordinary Ability category and got I-140 approval notice.
Here's the question: Given that EB-1 EA is current (irrespective of country of origin), can I go ahead and file I-485 now? Or do I have to wait until the full three years of the J-1 waiver job are completed?
Any thoughts or suggestions would be helpful
Thanks
