My lawyer just called me that she got a letter that my employment based (EB3) I485 application has been denied.
On June 01 my case has been transferred from Nebraska Service Center to Detroit local office. I was waiting for their interview letter. On mid July, I changed my job and location. I moved to South Carolina from Michigan. I submitted AR11 and also called USCIS to report the adress change.
Now while I was waiting for the interview, I got the denial letter that I did not show up for interview.
My lawyer said she also did not get any copy of interview letter.
Anyway, my lawyer is contacting USCIS to open the case but she said it may take 60 days.
Can somebody help me whether I will still be able to work legally while the case is being opened (from now to 60 days). I heard that I will not be able to work after 15 days of the receipt of the notice.
Please let me know. If that is true please let me know my options.
Thanks.
