Hello experts,

I got married and applied my 485 with my maiden last name. My 485 is pending.

1) What is the procedure to change my last name to my husband's last name while my 485 is pending?

2) Is it better to wait until my 485 is approved and green card is received? If yes, what is the procedure after getting green card?

Wait until you have your Green Card, then use form I-90 to make the change.

You can try and request that the Green Card be issued in your married name during your interview, but that request might be rejected. You will already have had Biometrics and an interim Work Authorization and Advance Parole issued in the name on your application documents.
