You should take certified versions of all civil documents, of which you should have submitted photocopies with your Adjustment of Status submittal.

At these interviews, emphasis is put on proof of a valid marriage, with documents showing cohabitation (lease agreement) and commingling of assets (joint accouns).

        Ramz,

One problem that I have heard about directly from our own relatives and friends occurs when one of persons being interviewed, husband or wife, doesn't talk, or only speaks reluctantly. We've had two people (nephew and family friend) get scheduled for second interviews mainly because the husbands in both instances would not voluntarily speak at all.

Your description sounds as if you won't be lax in proof of relationship at the interview. A problem of which visa conversions (from B2) are vulnerable is the suspicion that the marriage is a sham just to provide a Green Card. From what you are telling below, there won't be any such suspicion by the interviewer after about 10 minutes with both of you.

At your Adjustment interview, take copies of "everything" submitted so far, especially sponsorship documents. If there are any changes in income or tax filing since you submitted the package, bring updated sponsorship-related documents with you.

Hi Ray B, what do you mean my 'changes in income or tax filing since filing '? Because my interview for AOS is after 3 weeks also, I need to know that. Do you mean we need the copies of 2013 tax returns because it's a different year since I filed in 2013 ? Too many questions in mind before my interview !!!

Sabsap, is your interview in orlando ? and what he meant on changes is that if anything as change from the time you sent your package will be good to bring them along to the interview just to show more evidence I guess.

When Adjustment interviews are normally several months from your Adjustment and sponsorship submittal to USCIS, there may be changes in the sponsorship information. Proof of new employment, perhaps a few recent paystubs, a new Federal tax return and W2 copies (after a reasonable start of the new year).

Lately, many people have waited up to a year for an Adjustment interview, and it is quite normal for new sponsorship information to be available.

And, thanks to rayb for clarifying.
