Do I have to wait until 1-765 has been submitted and I have recieved EAD

Hi everyone,

I am sending my AOS based on marriage late January and my 180 days since my OPT expired will be up in mid february, from my understanding I am allowed to work during this time.
My question is, do I have to wait for the 1-765 to be "approved" in order to continue work? Meaning, submit the AOS work until mid february and then stop until my EAD is approved in order to continue to work in legal status during my AOS process once it has been filed?
