green card approved but not received

Hi,

I had my green card approved and sent out but they sent it to my old address and it was returned to sender. I am going home in 2.5 weeks and don't think I will receive it before then.
Can I go in and get my passport stamped without having an infopass appointment? Heard so many different things and not sure what to believe. I also read that my husband(petitioner) needed to come to stamp his passport too?
I live in Chicago and not sure if it differs based on location.

Appreciate any help!

These days you will find it nearly impossible to get into a USCIS office without an INFOPASS appointment.
