Arbitrary RFE on Birth Certificate/ Swedish Population Extract
Hello,
I received an RFE about my "birth certificate". As I am a Swedish citizen, I don't have the equivalent document of a BC in the American sense. We have a document from the Swedish Tax Agency=IRS that is called " Extract of the Population Register" where we are registered immediately after we're born. It has all the requested information, d.o.b, c.o.b, parents information, etc. and is the only government authority dealing with registration of births and death records. I know for a fact that others have sent this document and it has been accepted as BC and their applications have been processed successfully. I had it signed and stamped by an official at the Swedish Tax Agency. I can't seem to find any error on my part of the included information I've already submitted.
So my question is: How do I write a response to the Immigration Officer handling my case, that the document I already sent is the only available document and that it is an error on his/her part and that the RFE is inapplicable and that the document should be accepted as Birth Certificate?
As English is my second language I find that I run into trouble trying to write correct and official documents. They don't sound convincing because of their lack of proper use of terms and correctness, and therefore I'm seeking help, perhaps a template or advice on how to address my issue in a respectful but persuasive way.
I am however going to submit and extract from The Swedish Church with the identical information despite it not being the official government authority on this matter, or my responsibility since I've already complied with the requested information, only to show comparable documents.
If anybody can help, I'd be tremendously appreciative of any advice on the matter.
