So, I find myself in a bit of an odd situation. I married my Canadian wife two years ago when she came on a tourist visa and then returned to Canada a month later so that she could work while we went through with the immigration proceedings. It took us a while to get the paperwork together but just before we submitted we began to have some marital issues. I've since gone to Canada and we've worked things out, but it's pretty clear that we need the distance to end soon if we're going to make it. Is there any way for my wife to come to the states and then apply for adjustment of status? I know that we can concurrently file an I-130 and I-485 and that she will be eligible for an EAD in a few months, but how do I get her here in order to do that? I'm afraid that we might not make it if there is another year of waiting.
