I485 - proving two years rule fulfilled
I am preparing the documents to apply for Adjustment of Status I-485.
In the past I heldJ-1 Visa and had the two years home country stay rule section 212(e). I fulfilled this by staying two years in my home country.
I collected numerous documents as evidence of my stay in my home country, such as rental agreements, pay stubs, utility bills, employment contract and termination letters, etc.
My question is: all these documents are in the native language of my home country. Do I need to fully translate all of them to English? This will be quite an effort as there are many, and some, such as rental agreement or job contract, are very verbose.
I'd hope that only the title or first few lines of each document, including date, name and address may be enough for this purpose. However the I485 instructions state that "Any document submitted to USCIS with information in a foreign language must be accompanied by a full English translation.".
