Questions from a newbie
Hello!
My parents in law are thinking of immigrating to the US but there is an issue of timing. Here's our situation:
My wife is a naturalized citizen from China. Her parents are here visiting since december - they'll need to leave in early may. Some questions if we start the process:
1. What is the fastest way to get green card or at least allow them to stay while we wait? Is it I-485?
2. Can they return to China and come back to the US while everything is being processed if we go this route? If not, is there another way to do this so that they can come and go on travel visas while everything is getting processed? They have some business to take care of in China for the next few months, but we want to get the process started and still allow them entry in the US so they can return by about June.
