Using my EAD!?

Hi everyone,

I am applying for AOS after marrying a US citizen and just received my EAD (for which I am very grateful). However there isn't really much online or in the documentation that came with the EAD that tells you how to use it. Sooo… I have a few questions for those of you with experience.

1. What do I put down on online Job application forms when asked for my SS, can I just put all 0's and then later show my EAD & explain.
2. Do I need to fill in tax forms such as the W4 when working on an EAD?! & again, if I have no SS but have an EAD, do I just put zeros for my SS on the tax forms?
3. I've read that now I have my EAD I can apply for a SS, is this necessary?

Any help would be greatly appreciated,

ou must have an SSN to legally work in the U.S. The EAD is your authority for SSN eligibility.
